Spring is Creeping In

While those longer evenings are well apparent now, we can see the new growth of spring starting to appear. I see the first appearance of Dandelions in the fields now.

While most would consider Dandelions as weeds, they are an important early food source for bees. I wont mow any grass until mid-April or later to allow some time for these early flowers to bloom.

Of course, our geese love the Dandelion leaves and its quite a sight to see Nibbles waddle her way over if she sees you with some tasty Dandelion leaves.

Other early spring tasks include getting the greenhouse and veggie beds ready to go and start planting some seeds.
